Testimonials

"Re: Doncaster
I would like to share my experience with the above line of products.
I have bought several varieties of Doncaster products through Christine Orliac and have been extremely happy and satisfied with the outcome.
For example, I bought a pair of black pants that have become my favorite pair to wear for casual or dressy occasions; the fabric is so fabulous that it is very versatile in its use also for travelling it is extremely practical since it hardly wrinkles even after being in a suitcase for hours."

Dress in Business Class

What does Dress in Business Class mean? It means dress in the key apparel which assures you success in your business (whatever your job is) or to apply for a new position, but also when you travel or in other occasions when you have to show the best image of yourself.

Keep in mind that you are selling your self image. Should you want to sell your house, you would remodel, refresh the painting, care the landscape... you know that the more beautiful it looks, the fastest it will sell at the best price.

Your personal look in your business is even more important; your image is always the main key to your success. You probably noticed how people better treat you when you look elegantly dressed: doors are opening.

Elegance doesn't mean discomfort; as well as comfort or casual doesn't mean lack of elegance.

Elegance doesn't mean wearing the traditional dark suit and white shirt. It can be wearing a pair of jeans but with a stylish and feminine top recognizable for its perfect cut and high quality fabric. Your style depends on your position and the area you are working in, as well as well cut on your personality and lifestyle. You will build your wardrobe accordingly.

Find out your best look and your appropriate style

Discover the most flattering look according your body and your personality.

I will give you recommendations and suggestions according your body as well as your preferences:

  • Color which better suits you based on your hair and skin tone coloring,
  • Garment cut which better fits you based on your body type including recommendations for alterations and for a finished polished look.

You will look fabulous and younger wearing your best colors and the right cut may hide a few pounds so that you will appear thinner.

Find out the more appropriate style according your business or whatever activity, the occasion and your lifestyle.

I will give you suggestions about what to wear in different circumstances such as your business activity or, for instance, to give a lecture to bankers or to students, to travel in Europe or whatever occasion.

When you dress appropriately, be sure that your credibility, status and position won't be called into question whatever the job you are in: business executive or doctor, sales representative or teacher. Your audience perceive you by what you wear.

Optimize and enhance your wardrobe

Optimize your existing wardrobe with appropriate and wise purchases.

Get rid of all the clothes you haven't been wearing for at least 2 years because they don't fit you any more, they are out of fashion, their quality is poor or you simply don't like them any more.

Keep the timeless basic and the high-end classic items which cut and quality worth it. You can keep some high quality and timeless items for more than 15 years if you care them. For this reason, buying high quality is a wise investment.

I will help you in assembling a strategic, working wardrobe over time by selecting items from season to season that mix and match with one another and coordinate to or update your existing wardrobe.

I will also help you to coordinate your new purchases with matching accessories for a finished look!

Discover great fitting clothes, avoid shopping mistakes and get the most value with each of your purchase.

Let's make together clothing selections which

  • perfectly fit your body,
  • flatter your body and hair/skin coloring
  • dress you appropriately for success in the business you are in.

To feel and look your best select the best quality (fabrics and perfect execution) that ensure the perfect fit, an elegant style and that you will keep for many years.

As you probably noticed, the mainstream clothing lines take shortcuts on design, and fabric to lower the cost; you often feel there is something wrong with your body, “It’s not your body but the clothes!”. If you need to alter a piece to achieve the right fit, it can become cost prohibitive or even structurally impossible.

Doncaster keeps using the best designers and the highest quality fabrics. Various designs and cuts are proposed for every body shapes. And this well made clothing with high level design techniques ensures you the best fit.

A few tips to recognize quality

1.    The first piece of advice would be to experiment. If you are looking for an investment purchase like a suit or a coat, don’t hesitate to try on the very best you can find in a designer boutique – not to tempt yourself into a purchase you can’t afford, but to get again the sense of how a garment should ideally feel, hang and drape. This will give you an idea of what to imitate at lower price points.
2.    A designer label can indicate quality but be aware that more important of who made the garment is how it was made.
3.    Great fabrics guarantee great clothes. Sure, 100% cashmere, wool or silk is a safe bet. It’s however harder to judge the myriad mixes out there. Beware any sheen on suits or jackets, and skip microfibers that feel rough to the skin. If something looks wrinkled on the hanger, leave it here.
4.    Check seams, hems and stitching. A good hem is double-stitched and invisible from the outside of the garment. A generous fabric allowance is another good sign. Also look at seams which should be straight – not pulling or puckering. And the stitches themselves should be secure and even; avoid anything that looks more like basting than small and careful stitching.
5.    Test zippers and buttons. Try any zippers a few times and make sure the buttons seem secure but aren’t sewn on so tightly that they will pop off when you use them. Look at the buttonholes too which should not shed lots of threads.
6.    Look at linings. The best add substantially to a jacket or coat’s feel and ease of wear, made of silk but you can still have a higher-quality garment with a less fancy rayon or acetate. The most important is that the lining is sewn in straight so that the garment hangs well.
